Sule Pagoda
Located in the heart of Yangon, the Sule Pagoda is a Burmese stupa believed to be built during the time of the Buddha, about 2,600 years ago.

The Pagan Kingdom fell to Mongol invasions, and several warring states emerged. In the 16th century, reunified by the Taungoo dynasty, the country became the largest empire in the history of Southeast Asia for a short period

The official language of Myanmar (Burma) is Burmese (mya), spoken by the majority ethnic group (Bamar, or Burman) and as an additional language by speakers of the approximately 100 minority indigenous languages.
For anyone heading to Myanmar, a trip to Bagan is a must! Between the larger-than-life experience of watching the sun rise over the many pagodas, or the incredible amount of history and culture that you get to experience, it is one of our favorite places in Southeast Asia.
